Become a Volunteer! Volunteering can be a great way to contribute your time and your talents.
There are many reasons to volunteer at the Washington Township Public Library.
Volunteers are individuals who:
- Wish to contribute their time and talents and “give back” ‘to their community.
- Need to complete a community service requirement for their school or organization.
- Plan to pursue a career in Library Science.
- Enjoy the satisfaction of helping others.
Some of the tasks that volunteers help with are: shelf reading, re-covering books, filing, clipping articles from local newspapers, updating our community list, assisting with interlibrary loans, photocopying and checking media for damages as well as special projects.
Download and complete an application and either drop it off or mail it to the library. We will review your application, and if there are any volunteer opportunities that match your skills and will contact you to set up an interview.
