Primary Sources
A primary source is a source that was created by someone who has  (or had) firsthand knowledge or who was an eyewitness to an event.

A periodical is a newspaper, magazine  or other journal that is regularly published. WTPL subscribes to periodicals that are both in print and online.

Databases
Unlike a website that you find through searching the internet, a  database is a resource that the library purchases. So the information that you find there is reliable just like the information in a book or a periodical. In fact, the information that you find on a database IS a book, article, or periodical and NOT a website (even though you are reading it on the computer). This information also "counts" as a book, article, or periodical, not a website, when you are citing your sources for a school project!
