Your Library Card

Washington Township residents over 5 years of age are eligible to apply for a library card with proof of current Washington Twp. residency such as current N.J. driver’s license or postmarked envelope addressed to you.

Your library card will grant you access to the Library Catalog, downloadable eBooks & eAudiobooks (and eMagazines & comics), and subscription databases.

Loan Periods

28 days: Books, Audiobooks
7 days: DVDs, Videogames, Magazines
14 days: eBooks, eAudiobooks, Music, New Books, Mobile Hotspots


Material may be renewed twice with the exception of material with holds & videogames.

Overdue Fines & Lost/Damaged Charges

Overdue Charges for WTPL items

$.10 per day per item, $1.00 per day for videogames (maximum fines are $5.00 per item).  $5.00 per day for Museum Passes and Mobile Hotspots.

Lost or Damaged Charges

Replacement costs are charged.

Open Borrowing

Your library card is accepted at most Morris, Middlesex, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Warren County public libraries subject to local restrictions.
