Gardening with Native Plants — The native-plant movement has gathered steam in recent years, as people become aware of the many benefits of growing native plants.  This brochure provides resources — books in our Library as well as web sites — that will help you learn about the native plants of our region and ways to use them in your gardening.

Heirloom Vegetables and Seed Saving — Heirloom vegetables are well adapted to local growing conditions, have superior nutritional value, taste great, and can be grown from seed, but they are being rapidly lost as we come to accept a diet of vegetables that can be shipped long distances.
