Introducing JerseyClicks One Search, a single search box that let you search all statewide databases (such as MasterFile, NoveList, RefUSA, Consumer Reports, Time, Sports Illustrated, and more!) all at once. But don’t forget – these aren’t all of the databases that WTPL library card holders have access to, check out the different databases that we have available below.
How is a database different from a web search? Although databases are accessed through your Internet browser, they are very different from searching the web. Anyone can create a website and put information up online, which makes the accuracy of many websites questionable. In contrast, a database is a resource that the library purchases, and the information that you find there is published through reliable sources. The content is written, reviewed, edited and selected by field experts.
Providing exclusive online full text for many of the top consumer legal reference books, Legal Information Reference Center contains hundreds of full-text publications and thousands of legal forms, with more content being added on a regular basis.
Search our catalog for books, periodicals, DVDs, CDs as well as other publications and media. The catalog also compiles professional book reviews for many titles. If you need an item from another library you can put in a request and it will be sent here for you.
The catalog lets you make and save lists of items. There are also several new catalog features.
Indexes more than 560 core journals, nearly 50 priority journals, and nearly 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.
A full-text database that combines information from major respected reference works, books, literary journals as well as original content from EBSCO Publishing. Contains full text for more than 31,000 plot summaries, synopses and work overviews, nearly 100,000 articles/essays of literary criticism, more than 159,000 author biographies (including more than 22,000 in-depth bios), 450 literary journals, more than 632,000 book reviews, more than 69,000 classic and contemporary poems, more than 18,000 classic and contemporary short stories, more than 5,600 author interviews, more than 8,200 classic texts and much more.
